It's All Over Now
Artspace (NZ), 2012

"You are invited to take a flower and place it in the Mezzanine space. Bring another back to put in its place."

It's All Over Now was taken from the title of Bob Dylan's song. In this work, I asked viewers to place a flower in the space and take one away. The hidden meaning of the work was about the death of a relationship and mourning the presence of that person in your life. I kept seeing roadside memorials, particularly flowers denoting the presence of a person, and I thought the flower was a good visual cue to mark someone's 'presence.
